Subject: Back from Greece...I wanna go back
Dear All,
Our holiday in Santorini was just great. The weather was about 32 to 34 each day with two very hot days but the rest of the time was very pleasant. It was just great being able to swim in an outdoor pool again which is something I really miss. The village of Fira, main town on the island, is on the edge of the caldera and thus our hotel had great views as the hotel is "stepped" down the side of the cliff. Each morning we had breakfast on the terrace which looked down to the bay 100m below ( the caldera of the Volcano - the island was a volcano which blew up thousands of years ago and the ocean flowed into the middle ) and watch the cruise ships pull in each morning for a stoppover. We must have seen at least 18 ships over the 8 days. Our daily routine was breakfast, swim, relax, lunch,swim, snooze and then out to dinner each night at around 9pm. The town of Fira is very cute with narrow lanes and pathways with cars relegated to the outer side streets. The nightclubs were just amazing - dead until 1am and then they burst into life...

When we were planning our first trip
to the Sporades, we used Internet to look for useful information.
We found your pages about Aegeolis, Skyros and made a print of
it. When we arrived on Skyros from Kimi we took the bus up to
Skyros town. It was obvious that we should go to the beaches and
not stay in the town, so we got a taxi and showed the driver our
papers about Aegeolis. The Internet information corresponded well
with the real thing. The garden was nice and green and the patio
the right place for breakfast and afternoon coffee. The beach
was good and their was plenty of space for everyone.
Thank you once again for your internet pages wich gave us a wonderful
stay on Skyros.
